Black Friday Fun

The girls have fully embraced Christmas and all that comes with it. Lia's fettish for hats has her loving Santa all day long. 

Black Friday shopping wore us out. 

We ended the day with our traditional viewing of White Christmas. Though there are definitely some slower parts of the movie, the girls stuck with it and enjoyed the singing and dancing parts. They lasted for a bit over an hour--which is well past what we had expected from them. 

Confusing Decorations

Both girls have been very excited about Baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, the Kings, and all the Christmas animals. However, they just don't seem to grasp the concept of stockings. Lia thinks they're hats (what doesn't she put on her head?), and Zadie apparently takes the term "stocking" quite literally and put them on her feet--though she promptly declared that she had them on the wrong feet so removed them. 

Dallas Arboretum

We took a trip to the Dallas Arboretum on a lovely Fall morning. The girls enjoyed running around to the different "12 Days of Christmas" exhibits as we made our way to the Children's Garden. We completely wore them out before making our way to a Brazilian steakhouse where we all ate more than we ever should have eaten. 

All Aboard!

We took a little trip on the A-train just for kicks. The girls enjoyed the ride since they love trains--so did Papa.

Are we surprised that the girls have taken full advantage of having G-Ma and Papa in town to get plenty of trips to the playground?

Last Pregnancy Comparison Photos

Baby Gwendolyn has officially lasted longer in Mama's belly than Z and L. Looking at these pictures it's not much of a mystery as to why. Hopefully, we can keep her inside for another 5 weeks. 

Photo Shoot for Fall

We had Fall pictures taken today. This was a much better experience than last Fall. While we still were a little shy around the camera, we showed our true colors some and we think we left with some great pictures--from the photographer, not Mama's iPhone. 

Gangsta Z

No, Zadie is not flashing gang signs. She has recently learned the proper intonation and expression for asking questions, so she gets a kick out of herself saying, "where's G-Ma?" or "what's Bruchi down'?" The hands go up every time.

Dressing Up

Our special dresses came in for Tori and Matt's wedding. Lia loved trying it on, but Zadie was less than thrilled about it. Hopefully we'll be cooperative for the big day. 

Happy Halloween!

We had a busy Halloween today. We workout costumes to school for the carnival, ate lots of sugar, and then went trick or treating tonight. At first we were a little unsure about what to do, but we soon figured out how to boldly grab the candy before mumbling "thank you." We closed the night out with a bit of a movie night.
