We started our Thanksgiving with a nice 5K run. Despite our great intentions of training for it (it had been over 2 years since P had run over a 1/2 mile), sickness and weather ruined all plans of any sort of training. The goal was simply to finish. Upon arrival, we set a new goal: to beat the girls wearing the tutus (who were clearly more out of shape than we were). While we did not go fast, we both finished the race in 35:13 and managed to jog the entire time.
After the race we retuned home and engaged in typical Thanksgiving day activities-- eating, watching football, playing games, and visiting.

...and reading Pete the Cat. |
The next day, Black Friday, was perfect for baking Christmas cookies with the cousins.
After we cut out the cookies, we took a little break and ate at Chang's. Lia was a big fan, of course.

EVERYONE loved the finished product! |

Two cute little elves. |
After our flight out to Oregon, we were all very nervous about how Lia would behave. We didn't dare ask the question, "it couldn't get any worse than screaming for 1 hour 20 minutes, could it?" Thankfully, everyone behaved and we had a smoothe flight home.
