Yaquina Head

We made to Yaquina Head Lighthouse during low-tide to explore the tide pools and hike a bit. The girls are too short to climb the actual lighthouse still, but they enjoyed the morning of fresh air and hiking.

Paddleboating

We discovered a a little place at Devil's Lake that rents paddle boats. The girls loved it. They also loved feeding the fish after our ride.

Fourth of July

We went to see the Oregon Gardens fireworks on July 3rd. This little bit fell sound asleep on our way there, but she woke up to enjoy the evening and loved the fireworks--especially the loud ones. Are we surprised that she likes loud noises?
We went to the Mt. Angel parade in the morning, made our Burgerville stop on the way to the Beach, and enjoyed lovely weather all around.

How to Eat Chowder

There are at least 3 ways that Gwendolyn eats her chowder.
1. With a spoon--pretty standard.

2. By using bread as the primary vehicle to get the chowder in her mouth.

3. And when she needs the last couple drops from the bowl, she drops the spoon and the bread and just drinks t.

These two girls are pretty pleased with their chowder as well.

Jill's Wedding

We made a quick trip to Central Oregon for Jill's wedding. It was a lovely day and lovely scenery.

Strange

They were cleaning up the toys at G-ma's house.

Go, Go, Go, Crash

Lia and Gwendolyn mostly have two speeds in life--go (petal to the medal), and crash.

This 3-year-old was moving logs about 4 times her size to build a new dam in the little river at our beach.

And this little nugget crashed hard.
